Steady on fella...before exerting that amount of effort have you tried a squirt of lube on the chain ..wet weather stuff should see you right...

Looking at the chunk of mud between the wheel and seat tube I'd say pedalling was an issue!

At one point the chain was running though the middle of that chuck of mud, the last downhill got rid of most of the muck.
