Might as well kick start this thread. Heres my Commencal Meta SX, it's a custom build with the following X01 drive train Shimano XT brakes Mavic Crossmax wheels Easton Havoc stem and carbon bars DMR Vault Mag Ti pedals Charge Spoon saddle Shimano Saint cranks KS Lev seat post Fox CTD Remote shock with Pushima stanchion and Push tuned Rockshox Pike Solo Air 160mm Forks Pictures shows XT cranks but it's Saints thats on at the moment. It's pretty much my do it all bike at the moment, it's handled everything from cross country rides to battering down the DH trails at Fort William

Are you stipping it when the new one comes? I would like your wheels if I have some spare cash when the time comes

How do you find the XT brakes? I've got some on one of my bikes and I'm not massively impressed with them

Love this bike! Really love the bright yellow. These photos don't do how bright they are any justice.

When it comes to a new bike, I'm going to have serious issues deciding between a Commie or a Knolly..

your commies sweeet in real life but it cost some brass dude. like all new bikes youll struggle to get what its worth without splitting it. even though its a minter.

On of the best bikes on the Forum! Top spec that and looks stunning
Serious cash has been invested into it no doubt... The new Canyon will be quite a good bike to replace it though, very techy!

Cheers matey, I'm really looking forward to the Canyon but im also not looking forward to parting with the Commie as it was the first proper bike that i'd built from scratch, if I had a bit more space I could see me keeping it but I'm also wanting a DH bike this year so it really has to find a new home.

Love that mate.. Looks great. Why, may I ask as a noob, can you not use this as a DH bike ?? You could if you wanted, but it would get pretty bashed up quickly and things would wear out alot quicker. Plus the extra travel on a full on downhill bike will come in handy on the more gnarlier DH stuff

Love that mate.. Looks great. Why, may I ask as a noob, can you not use this as a DH bike ?? Like typer says, it wouldn't be the best for the bike but it will do it no problem at all, I've had it at Fort William doing the WC downhill course but the problem is you need to think a lot more on where you are putting the bike and you can't just batter through rock gardens at full pelt like you would on a full on DH bike.

Trust me, I am very reluctant :-( lol Until the new one arrives and then it'll be like 'Commencal.... What Commencal?' haha Aye, more than likely, something keeps telling me to keep the frame (for sentimental reasons and if 26ers ever become popular again lol) and just sell everything else, bike frame look good on the wall lol
