It will be a surprise as you will probably have forgotten by Xmas Forgotten what? Like the new avatar...good to see that you appear to be a recliner man....me too! Is yours motorised...I haven't gone to the extremes of having one that spits you out onto the carpet ..but I have had more bruises since I bought it a year or so ago as we all dash for it when it becomes empty ! !

best 5-10's I've owned Paul! You'll love them! I agree! they fit really well (my five ten free riders seem to have got a bit baggy) but I can`t get my head round the fact that the soles look worn out before I`ve even had em on.

I thought the same thing and wondered how they could possibly work, they look like they'd be great pedalling and terrible walking! I was very wrong. I've walked on wet rocks, mud, slippy concrete, leaves and they are great in all conditions. Have only slipped a few times on really unstable ground and I think I would have slipped in my other 5 10's anyway!

Yes I read that about it being for 'before and after'. Took the Mayhem to Afan yesterday (didn't wear it on the ride though as it was wet but 18 degrees!!) and one of the lads had an Attack (£160 worth). That had 3 or 4 small holes in it due to brambles etc and he said he was gutted at how flimsy that seemed too - he had patched it up with slime patches on the inside though which have worked a treat, he says - handy hint No 132!

Pretty sure if my matrix jacket came into contact with brambles the brambles would shit themselves, it was expensive but it's the best item of clothing I've ever bought myself

Afan is a fucking nightmare for brambles, especially the descent into Glyncorrwg (JetLag), last rode there in the summer and completed that hour long climb in about 30*C heat, but the final decent had the skin on my arms torn to shreds because of the sodding brambles. A great deal of pain, especially when mixed with sweat :/
