Never doing that again, first time i've propper shit it on a trail Really ? i think Thornylee was actually not as gnarly as The Golfy, have you ridden Feed the Pony Top to Bottom ? Jeeez even just getting to the top is a bloody struggle, you can join it from half way down though which is actually very awesome It was that Tarts & Glory that got me, I think it was way beyond my skill level, Slabs & Dabs and Turbo Ferret were a good laugh though, Deffo preferred Golfie though

Not very much of it is high speed but most of it is very techy and demanding on the legs as your fighting to keep your balance but some is quite flowy, so if your into challenging yourself , Aye Turbo Ferret is good Euan, saying all this though i better get practicing myself so i don't show myself up haha

Would be s..ting my self in the dry You get more grip fella when its a bit damp so the mud naturally slows you down a bit, when it's dry it's like riding on marbles so you either go with it or kill your arms braking all the time

Are you lot trying to scare people away before they have got here ....surely the best place to start for anyone visiting would be GT ..then take it from there ....?

Are you lot trying to scare people away before they have got here ....surely the best place to start for anyone visiting would be GT ..then take it from there ....? Aye maybe your right, GT is a decent place to start, it has some tasty sections also but be prepared for a challenge is what i would say as the trails i'm talking about are a step up in technicality, remember the original post is about Tweedlove and the people behind the Enduro World Series, I wouldn't expect anybody trying it for the first time to be competent doing it, i'm still quite shit doing it myself but i'll give it a go, i've other mates that ride these tracks all the time and they are much better than me but they ride a lot more than me, once a week is all i usually have time for. I won't hide the fact that it's gonna be a challenge Ok just to put folk in the picture, what to expect from these trails away from the trail centre is Tight and close to the trees Trees and lots of them Could be dark even in the daytime Mud depending on the weather leading up to a visit here Definitely steep so keep off the front brake especially Physically challenging All of the above could bee seen as a negative so on the plus side If you do have an off the chances are it'll be at slow speed, there's virtually no big drop offs or fly offs or big gnarly rocky sections to speak of so, I've had some OTB moments and the worst i got was some bruising and scratches off the tree branches There you have it, i think i've covered it, the pro's found it hard, here's some action and what they had to say

Euan & Kev I think Euan's idea is a sound one ..then if you think folks are up to it go around the Enduro trails the next day . I have done some reasonably technical riding ..Torridon , Sliggy on Skye , Ben Avon, etc ..but the way you are describing these rides I'm beginning to wonder if I'm up to them ...I also hate long steep climbs and spookily prefer rocky descents to loamy soil ...perhaps I should take up knitting !!

After adding these pair on strava , the bloody climbing they do puts me to shame eeek .. I do like the sound of starting out easy the first day , and seeing how we get on the next ..

Give me loamy - doesn't hurt when I (always) fall off.
