Will Ollie ever come back to find the answer to his question or do you think he's flounced?
I'm going for a full on flounce.

I don't agree with that video.when i measure chain length i go big to big but miss the rear mech out altogther, that guy went round the top jockey wheel. Hmmmmm. coincedentally, when i swapped from medium xt to zee i left the chain as it was and it's fine.

sorry for the long reply couldnt get on, here is a pic of it: its nice and tensioned in the lowest gear and it is slightly tensioned when in top gear but the mech is just 'loose' and isnt really stiff like when the clutch is on. as said earier can the clutch be adjusted?

Well whaddayaknow, my mech hanger snapped today, not the zee mach's fault, it's brand new, my fault, i took too many links out and when i put it into the smallest gear there was too much tension on the mech/chain aaaand snap, so took it to the local shop and luckily he had a spare hanger, and when he was measuring the chain he had it in the highest gear (10th) and put in about 3/4 links and now it looks peachy

Did you sort this Ollie?
I did degla yesterday and dropped my chain 3/4 times, so much so that I couldn't put peddle strokes in between rough sections.
Mech has been running spot on but yesterday was horrendous, took a link out and it was still the same.
