Are you riding with the clutch off ? Do you need to take some links out ? Maybe ?, I'm just asking as this is what i did and had to do when i fitted mine, its a shorter mech so obviously some links had to be taken out

Did you measure the chain with the rear shock emptied of air and bottomed out?

Well excuse me all the way to fucking hell....
I didn't ask you if it was correct, I asked you if you had used the above method, bit of a difference.
Sorry for trying to help. Hope you sort it out.

What about the little pin on the mech just below where you bolt it onto the hanger, it must butt against the hanger from above when looking down on it, if its below this little part it will be flapping about especially in high gears, look it up on you tube, i cant put a link up, on my phone atm

clutch working fine?
i have to ask, mine arrived with no difference with clutch on/off ..should have send it back to merlin that time but can't be asked posting and waiting for it back.. its easy fix, just open that thingy (i dont know what its called) in the RD and tighten some screw inside be careful with little bits inside when you open though. HTH.

You can adjust the clutch,
I had mine apart after it snapped, its very simple. Would try that after you've checked your CHAIN LENGTH

sorry guys but ive stated its the right length with the rear shock off and swing arm fully actuated and front chainring to largest cog on cassette + 2 links thats not the right way in my opinion, your chain is to long, when are you ever going to bottom out when your in the biggest rear cog? Never, so you don't have to compensate for it. Just do biggest cog and chain ring plus two links with the shock fully pressurised Put a picture up of the mech when it's in the biggest ring

I told him not to bottom the rear mech out when measuring. I clearly stated that, did'nt I? I clearly said that in my first post on the matter.
Or have I just said that now to cover up for being a bit of a dick?

My guess is that it's the clutch mechanism needs adjusting as Wolfie and others have said. Dead easy.
'Cept I'm not telling him now because I've got the mardy's.

Also the +2 rule covers long cage mechs, the zee is tiny, like I said, shift into the biggest ring and put a picture up of your mech

F.A.O Ollie, HTH, just in case you haven't got your chain length right. 'Cos you never said.
