Dave Tasker removed 3 while we were on Arran . You can buy tick removers from chemists . As some of you know until fairly recently I worked for a German company called Ballistol ..who produced an excellent insect repellent called Stichfrei ..not only did it repel midges brilliantly ..but also ticks ..for anyone interested you should be able to find the product online

i got bitten last august , constant headaches every minute of everyday since last sept ,,,,, keep covered up guys believe me I'm assuming you have been to the docs about this ? What advice / have they been able to give / do for you ? For those who have girlfriend's / partners / wives ...get them to check the areas you can't see ..as the little bloodsuckers aren't fussy where they go !

Got some normal insect repellent (the skin so soft stuff the army lads use) hope that works on the nasty little buggers! On the ticks, not Jean, Dave etc

That depends on how old it is as the ingredient ( Deet ) they used which worked as a repellent was taken out a couple of years ago ..all the recent stuff does is make you smell nice ! Short of being able to get your hands on Stichfrei ..Smidge works really well .. I will have my bottle with me on Thursday ..if anyone wants to use it ..._

I'll check it but it was advertised as the repellent version - though that was ebay so who knows!

I might get one of these,if the dog can use it then I should have no probs
seriously though,a mate of my sons was bitten and developed lymes desease and he was really, really ill.he was bedbound for quite a long time and it was touch and go at one point.luckily he`s made a full recovery.

Hate to tell you this ..but that jungle formula from a health point of view is NOT good news ..you should be looking for something that is Deet free ..similarly the kids product will not be as effective on an adult m.naturalnews.com/news/026982_DEET_insect_repellent_brain.html[ I'm not trying to scaremonger ..but I think I would prefer the midge bite ! The two products I recommended above are both Deet free ....

Hey ..I'll not argue with a chemist ..but just to say that while that may be the case ..I believe that it does not absorb into the skin as much as the adult version and as such you have to re-apply more frequently . At least that was the explanation I was given ( if I remember correctly ) when I asked what was the difference between the adult & children's product of Stichfrei ( sting free) ..while working for the company ..they also do an animal version !

The stuff I use has had the deet removed but has citronella instead (the skin so soft stuff) - which is supposed to put the buggers off.
Jony that's shit news - keep pushing mate you need treatment for that - take print offs of info from the internet of your symptoms or whatever it takes, don't let them fob you off.
