Looks good to me Neil, don't know about the swimming though, it would be freezing.

Short of cycling in a dry suit ...I won't be doing that either ...might be nice to have a gander though ...

Looks great Neil. That was Russell's opinion of that ride also. And if the heatwave you ordered should arrive I will be packing trunks of the swimming variety!

Heatwave on hold unfortunately ...the day we travel is forecast for thunderstorms on Skye ...the other days are a mixed bag of sunshine , cloud , thunderstorms & showers ..although with the weather changing every 5 mins ..dont know how they can predict things that far out..oh cooler as well ...12c

Brilliant trip ...sunshine & dusty trails every day . Huge disappointment that Colin had to pull out at the last minute ...but totally understandable . On the flipside ..great that Russell could join us on Wednesday & Thursday ... My sincere thanks to Dave & Jean & my room-mate & co-driver Graham for making this possible ...it's memory will shine bright for a long time .. I could write pages ..but won't ...a few pics from each day can tell the story ( to follow )

Sunday evening 29.5.16 Met this fellow at our overnight stop at the Roybridge Hotel( cheap & cheerful)...where myself and Graham spent the evening. One of us won the domino competition ..but modesty does not permit me from saying who... First prize £35.00...which promptly went back behind the bar to buy the locals a drink ( and ensure we woke up alive the next morning !) P More ( lots ) to follow

They were there ...as the front of my car will testify ..but it was either too hot or on other occasions accompanied by a stiff breeze ..which for the most part kept them at bay ...

Wednesday Sligachan / Fairy pools at Glen Brittle. The first trail I hadn't previously ridden and the one I was looking forward to ...the route had been revised again by myself to include two loops which from pics I had seen looked great ..but it didn't turn out that way for me at least ..the bike had a good tough walk and in hindsight it would have ridden better a slightly different way..didn't seem to bother Russell who laughed in the face of its technicality ..Graham too giving it a good go ( he got better with each ride) So ...good in places ..but not one ( scenery apart) that I would rush back to...and just way too many folks at the Fairy Pools themselves to make it enjoyable ...

The very same Glynn ...it's a fantastic experience to drive it ..and made a change from when we were there on a family holiday last year as there was a lot of cloud cover at that time ...I drove up it and gave Graham the pleasure of driving it back ...
