First my NS snabb enduro, I decided to buy this when mediocre eddy told me there was no way we would be doing a spain holiday this year, with that particular drain on my wallet out of the way i decided it was probs time to get fashionable wheels....
So thats a 165mm travel frame, its quite nicely made really, there are some good touches on it, doesnt really come across in the pics, but the top half of the frame is gloss and the bottom is a matt, looks rad. Pedals extremely well and isnt all that heavy either.
Dual positon pikes, because they were 200 quid cheaper than regular ones, the travel reduction is pointless it drops them by about 10mm, but they feel about as good as regular pikes.
Superstar tr25s, they're basically copies of stans flows, but with eyelets, which makes them ideal in my book, will see how they do anyway. Michelin grip'rs, again really really good these, £25 off crc, 800g, tubeless, grip like poop to a blanket.
XT 11spd, well good, matched up to a 30t cog for going up hills.
Saint brakes, superstar finned rotors everyone except me hates with a passion. After a weekend at inners I actually think they work in terms of cooling too, i wasnt expecting that.
Need to get a reverb stealth, my old normal one is wearing away the paint badly, fancy one of these new 170mm ones when they come out?
So then in january eddy decides that spain is actually going to go ahead... doyle. So with a taste for new bikes i got a new frame for my dh bike, a '13 norco aurum, which coincidentally looks virtually identical to my other new bike.
Id already replaced my knackered old forks and and wheels in the last year, so its was pretty much all new compared to what i was on. Not to mention 4kg (!!!) lighter and about 10yrs newer, difference is astonishing, its an absolute weapon and the liberties you can take are ridiculous.
So then just when my wallet is recovering my beloved santa cruz chameleon cracked it back end off on both sides...
So i need to replace this now too, want to stay 26in and alu, turns out theres an NS coming out shortly thats got basically the same geo (slightly longer tt and shorter cs, which sounds good) and costs vastly less than this bloody thing did. So ill have a 3rd matching bike...
