Brilliant days riding, big thanks to Glynn Manf and Downhill Dave for the company. The weather was just about perfect,a few spots of rain just as we set off but nothing after that, light winds and broken clouds made for near perfect riding conditions. A few pictures first section of hike a bike up to Grisdale tarn looking back to Glenridding Grisdale Tarn We thought the first climb/hike a bike was hard work but that was nothing compared to Dollywagon! At the summit Along the ridge The only place I had a real problem with my fear of heights was coming down the ridge in the distance Sticks pass was amazing! www.strava.com/activities/584641586

Looks like you had a great ride there and made a better loop than planned, did you do Ullswater shore and then climb up the descent we did from bored ale Hause to descend the front side back to glenriding.
Gaz, Was sticks pass all rideable, a better descent in a way then the rangers down from snowdon?

Gaz, Was sticks pass all rideable, a better descent in a way then the rangers down from snowdon? It's up there with my best ever! View where simply stunning, the photo's don't do it justice. We add Ullswater shore on the end and did in the opposite way round, it was still tough as all the hike a bike really takes it out of you.The climb up to the top of Helvellyn made Snowdon seem easy! Downhill Dave managed Sticks without a dab, there's a couple of sketch bits but a lot more rideable than Rangers (for me anyway)

wow! great day. the push/carry was a toughie, but once we got back on the bikes at the top of dollywagon pike it felt soooooo good and we soon forgot it. great views, and yes dave is a downhill demon.how did the shore loop go gaz and manf? im just sorting a few pics out..............oh yeah and the last mile was a brill way to finish, fast with a chance to launch off a few small ramps

I think we were both knackered by the time we got back to the cars!

no mechanicals today apart from gaz having issues with a bit of play somewhere? after a steady first couple of miles it then started to turn upwards a triumphant manf, but this was only the start of the hike-a-biking the start of the ridge what a view from here ready for the descent? bottom of sticks pass ready for the fast finale
