I just found out that I need to be back in Sheffield for 4pm, so for me, an early start is better...not sure if I will have the time to do both the red/black and then the blue! I have to be back for 4 too - to take the Mrs out! We'll have plenty of time to do the blue as well.

Worse comes to worst, I'll pass on the burger after and shoot straight away just to be sure!

Weather is looking good Rlo, see you there. We'll be in a white Vauxhall Insignia with 3 bikes on the roof.. Well, there should be 3 bikes on the roof. If there isn't, you can assume one of us will be in a very bad mood.

Image of the day for me, was Mr. Beans having a fag before the ride and half-way?!LOL

Brilliant to meet you G - fully understand you shooting off, we are a very slow group (well, me and Eurobob are, Beansy just puts up with us cos we buy his breakfast and Burger) Hope to ride with you again someday. For anyone else reading this...his Hex is an amazing looking bike in the flesh - a proper thing of beauty and he can ride it too!

Twas a good day. Good to meet you Rlo and great seeing your bike in the metal!
Hopefully we can do it again some time!
Quote of the day - "If I wore Lycra, I'd look like a burst sausage"
The burger and chips was tip-top as usual!
We also did the blue route which is a nice steady blast..
I too am fairly pleased with the air I was getting.. Jumping is harder than it looks but I'm getting there!

Good on you guys and specially Chris for doing the blue too after... Beansy, you were killing it on the jumps...when we did that second try, that biggest one, you properly nailed it with style...such a shame i didn't have my GoPro... By the way, we all agree that the biggest bike tart, is you...Pez second...me third....lets not forget that?!?!
We can ride together again anytime you want/can. Top day!
(there is a danger of opening a can of worms again but...) Today, i fully realised another thing about E-bikes...at some point a guy passed us on one...a nice looking Scott...he was alone...and we all felt an immediate hate towards this guy in his 40's calling him a few names...i guess this is common if you ride an E-bike...being hated and riding alone!...at least for now!

I don't know what you mean G, as that lad whizzed by me on the tough switchback climb, I stopped my dying and wheezing for a second to stand up and applaud him past, with a cheery 'well played, sir'. Honest, officer

Great to meet up G that bike is almost as impressive as the Guns that were steering it I love degla but I'm just not built for climbing so I'm not very good at it mind you it turns out I'm not very good at the downs either I also got a bit of air I swear you could just about get some tracing paper under my wheels ( I need to do a jumps and drops course , a how to ride you bike cours and a stop being such a pussy and leave your brakes alone course ) Great ride lads I type this now trying to sit in a position were my back is not in pain right I'm off to get some Lycra and shave my legs to help me with the climbing

You did great Chris, you kept going and even more impressively, you did the 3 mile climb twice! My back is fine but I'm walking around like Sir Douglas Bader with my legs.
It's great being an old bastard, innit?
Cracking day though, want to go back!

Lol...^^^^ I take my hat off to you mate...great effort yesterday, specially if you tackled the blue after. Just keep on riding and it will just get better and easier every time. I would also love to do a skills course one day...I reckon it would be worth it! Because I don't tend to ride in trail centres, I'm not used to jumps...but when you get them right, there isn't a better feeling...the bike saved me a few times I have to say!? Degla never disappoints!? When are we going again? Lol

Ha ha I'm like you - I really ought to do a jumps and drops course, I'm slowly getting better but at 54 I'm running out of wriggle room! You are right about bikes too - a good bike can save you up to a point - I love the feel of fast riding on a jumpy trail and I don't want to 'squash' jumps anymore, so I may finally do a course. We were talking about it at the start of B-line yesterday and you and Beansy are bang on in that 50% of it is confidence, would still be good to get some technical help too though. As for going back - at least one more time this summer - probably 2. Be good to be in a bigger group as well, but I can only do midweek all dayers so I know that's a big ask for most.

Llandegla is always good fun. Like I said yesterday, once you have the confidence to 'open it up' a bit for the jumpy bits, it becomes a whole different place.. Soooo much fun.
