I decided after 6 years on a Glory I fancied a change, so along came this. I was going to get a Canyon Sender but I have always had a thing for spesh, having owned a mrk 2 demo 8. Have only been out once, I am a bit too "plump" for the 380lb spring it comes with so it was mostly an evening riding gently down FJMTB. New spring is on the way more suited to my Dominoes Pizza lifestyle. Have also suddenly developed a fear of rocks, specifically loose ones that could fly up and hit it. Its so pimp it almost seems a shame to spoil it by riding it, Other interesting observations (based on my extensive slow speed testing session); its not as light as you may think (although you dont notice it really), you can ride it back up the hill (mostly because it comes with a semi slick rear tyre), it manuals easier than my jump bike (something the glory never really did well) and the ohlins shocker makes a reassuring hissing sound. It also goes like stink, even with brakes that still need to bed in and me being tentative with the wrong spring. I know its a spesh and spesh are pretty corporate and (some say boring), but my god they know how to make a bike !!

Lol ha ha, we ust got back from London with the Fam, dropped the wife off and went straight back out to get this from me mate (who sorted it out for me). She found me looking ponderously at it and went and got me a box of tissues (no joke!). Think she finished second at the moment and me lad has started asking me if bikes are my most fav thing in the world
