Soz, but didn't want to hijack Dirkpitt's lid thread ..
.. but as I said over there, I need a new lid that's small in stature
Here's a pic of the Bontrager next to my ols Specialized lid, and lookin at the pic it don't look that much bigger .. but on me yud its feckin maaaahoooosive
Looking at the Cratoni AllTrack mentioned on the other thread ... lovely lookin lid that .. are they small to look at ?

I wanted to buy the Bell (the one to the left) but it just didn't fit my head...M was digging on my skull and hurting, L was huge. I'm the one on the right. I think it's quite small looking and in fact a great design, tech, features, etc. Ps- I kinda think design is important...lol...but this says it all... mtb-uk.boards.net/thread/3205/helmet-review

Cheers bud, yeah it does look well nice to be honest, do they have a fly mesh ?
One of these would've been a birthday prezzie I think, if I hadn't already got the Mrs and kids to buy me a Pro4 rear hub for the Trek
D'ya reckon you might be able to do a measurement of your lid for me ? .. if you look at my pic of the two helmets, could you measure the width at the widest point when viewed from the front like my pic ? (if that makes any sense ?)
Cheers

Ignore my question about the fly mesh .. been looking at it on CRC for £107.99 .. then found it elsewhere for almost 40 squid less at £70.99

A request to measure my helmet...(that alone could be taken very differently)...but that's taking bike tartness to a whole different level (AKA Pez's level maybe who is the biggest bike tart of all as we all agreed previously) LOL
However, mine is the S-M size for (54-58cm) and measuring between the side bolts you have 200mm exactly.

Ta for measuring mate, slightly wider than my Spesh lid, and 10mm less than the Bontrager, so prolly worth a punt fpr 70 quid

Did you go with the link I sent or somewhere else mate ?
I've gotta accept that I'm always gonna look a bit of a goon in an MTB lid .. though this one is probably the least goonish I've tried, probably due to the way your head fits up pretty high into the helmet rather the mushroom effect!
I'm hoping to get it dirty soon, tho the Mrs is having an op on Tuesday so I'll just have to roll with it at the mo ... although the project I've been working on all year that's been the main reason for keeping me off the trails is almost weather/winter proof now, which means I can work on it no matter what the weather is doing for a change so hopefully we'll have a decent autumn !!
