Having just got my first new bike after many years out of mtb I'm keen to keep the bike looking fresh for as long as possible (mainly to keep up the resale value - as I'm told I'll eventually want a full sus). I've bought the oversized Bike Shield kit (it says full pack but and has covered a decent area of the bike). They went on ok, I've covered the top tube completely (all the way around) and most of the downtube (almost all the way around - there is a small gap of about 5mm across the top side of the downtube). One chainstay was already protected so I've protected the opposite side (from my size 9's). I've also added a couple of soft cable protectors to areas prone to rub. I've not used Bike Shield before (or any similar product).
