Hi All I belong to a small group of mtb riders the majority of whom should have long since retired to the sedate appropriate sport of being a roadie We go under the name of KTR (Kielder Trail Riders) We are based in Northumberland and organise Sat rides locally including over the border to Gods Own Country and to the English versions of this - The Lakes and Yorkshire and often Wed night rides. Point of all this is to encourage you lot if you can make it to come and join us - no fees no registration just use the forum to say you are coming - this is obviously aimed initially at the young over 50s , the mature over 60s and the should no better but stuff it 70+ but to remind us of what we could once do would love to have some of you youngsters leading us along Benefits of being geriatric is that we know some great rides and that in a respect your elders scenario kind landowners will often allow us on routes banned to under50 delinquents Next ride 27 Sept meet at Ingram 10amSee Hodgys posts for details as I must have a little lie down now after having typed all this - which has nothing whatsoever due to the fact that we did 27km over the Cheviot moors today and went to the pub afterwards

Yup welcome. I'm one of the old blokes on here, though not as old as Will who was attacked by a dog yesterday when the rest of us were strangely left alone.
I told him his piss bag was leaking.

Yeehah! MacMad rides again! Fine to see you Colin, but this weekend was my turn for the geriatric shenanigans, bloody alarm clocks, on a Saturday morn after a night in the Miner's, and even older bloody neighbours (I like them really). I'll book an alarm call for next weekend.
