To be fair, the guy could just want to be rid of it, new upgrade and having it sat in the garage isn't doing anyone any good, so prices it to sell. I've done it before with stuff, I'd rather have the money in my bank than have an item listed for months waiting for someone to take it at asking.

If I were after an epic hardtail I'd be all over this. If I could afford it.

I am so pumped to see this get unboxed.
I've had a slow day if you couldn't tell.

Guessing covering it with paintstripper wouldn't work?

Yeah, just the waiting game at the moment.
Geez man, that's going to be one hell of a build! By the time you've finished it they probably will. but I doubt any of them will be near the calibre of this build!

On the plus side, you may well be able to sell the Hope headset at near cost if it's not overly common, no doubt someone will want it. Also very jealous of you with your frame. Really looking forward to seeing this built! I have to wait until the end of next week for the Knolly to arrive in the shop

Saw that chainstay.. wow, mistreated much?
Still, a really good bargain for someone just getting into MTB.

I wouldn't worry too much, I'm part of the club as well. Makes the move over to 1x10 just a little less of a shock to the old legs.

Have you checked the alignment of the dérailleur? Have a little fiddle with the H screw, that may help a little.

Fuck it, I'll be entering. 8 months should be enough time for me to not suffer a heart attack at every climb. EDIT: Just checked Google maps, 5.5hr drive from me. Good grief! easy drive up Friday lunch, beers Friday night, practice sat lunch, chill Saturday night, race sunday, get smashed sunday night, chilled drive back monday That's really not a bad idea actually. Right, looks like it'll be an early start on the 12th for a spot then!

Well I'll be there tomorrow for a few hours if anyone wants to come along? Won't be hooning off as I've not ridden in a few days.

What's up with the cranks? I've got them on the Five atm and they seem awesomely solid, if a little heavy.. is a £350 crank upgrade really worth it?

Ahhh, I didn't see the hubs, saw the rims but didn't take notice of the hubs.

Needs a few tiny upgrades rear shock, wheels, crank, brakes, gears, tyres, seat. New grips (not Ergos) ..... But yeah... Pretty good for the cash... Eh, I've got the wheels on my Five (soon to go on the Knolly) and they've not set a foot wrong so far. Seem solid enough even with my poorly executed attempts at popping a whip everywhere. Cranks are fine, they are strong enough and to round, brakes.. yeah, upgrade those bad boys! Shock needs something like a CCDB Air on it. Tyres, seat and grips are fine for UK use. Maximum of £500 extra spent on it I reckon.

Christ.. a 150mm travel Five, with the Strange branding? Good luck finding another one anywhere in any trail centre, that's a one of a kind bike!

6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
Doesn't mean anything different, much like the word enduro.

The Canyon's are awesome. A guy who showed me some local trails rode one like an absolute weapon.
Personally I'd wait for the RS specced bike, but can you really wait 6/7 months?

My plan is to compete in at least one local enduro race, also to make a clichéd edit of riding purely for my own willy waving and something fun to create.

I went there Feb last year. Was a good ride, although i had started out back then so potentially didn't enjoy it as much as i could have. Did the blue run and that knackered me (poor fitness). Red run i remember had a lot of switchback climbing.
I'm off there on Wednesday as I'm on holiday with the Mrs and have been given a day to go riding.

Got to the hills and it was absolutely hammering it down. Didn't fancy sitting in the rain hoping it'd clear up.
I'll try again in a few days, or a few months.. or in summer.

Try selling closer to spring when all the fair weather riders come out, it'll probably go then as people are gearing up to make the most of the nice weather.
If I could both afford and have space for the bike I'd have taken it off your hands.
