Only a 1000 miles?? wow, mine have been on for 2500, I've got spares but never bothered to fit them.
You've inspired me, I'll be changing mine this weekend as I have a biggish ride planned for Sunday.

Are they the old ones ? Loads of life left ... Welcome to the site by the way ...you have sinned already by not going to the introduction page ...troublemaker eh ! I also noticed that you don't want anyone to contribute towards the Tallboy you're after ..which is a great pity as I was feeling generous 5 mins ago and was ready to fund the whole thing ..but thats worn off now....haha ! Have fun .. Where do you ride in Dorset ?

The top one is original, the bottom is the replacement (I changed the pair obviously), but yeah loads of life compared to that first picture. My old ones were garbage though, no bearings, just cheap washers?!
Sorry about the introduction, if I go in and say hello will you reconsider part/fully funding my Tallboy?
I mostly commute on my bike along the sea front between Poole and Boscombe, but I've done rides across the Purbecks, Wareham Forest, Moors Valley and with my brother in-law up near Guildford.
Poole is a beautiful place to live, I'm very fortunate.

...re the Tall Boy ..sorry but that offer has now expired ! Actually I was pointing a bit of good natured fun at the fact that on your profile you said that " all offers were excepted " ...instead of accepted ..which I took to mean you didn't want any offers .. Sorry ..just my sense of humour ..and I'm not one to talk as i make more than a few typos myself ! I've never ventured to your part of the world..but have heard that it is fantastic ... I also live in an area of outstanding natural beauty..but at the opposite end of the country ..and also feel lucky to live where I do . Hope you enjoy your time on here..but you will have to have a thick skin as the p-takes only get worse !

That's the same type as mine, a real cheap ass piece of 'engineering', I can't believe they last as long as they do. I had to have a little fiddle with my indexing and cable tension afterwards, I also put a new cassette, front ring and chain on last week. I've ridden 20 or so miles since and it's all running sweet now, in fact the cog swapping is smooth as silk now.
