Anyone tried this tyre before, it seems to get good reviews comparing it to the Magic Mary which was miles better than the High Roller 2 which is on the bike at the moment.
My plan is to put the High Roller on the rear and retire the Ardent for the winter and put the Shorty on the front, reason for this as in right gloopy conditions (enduro trails around tweed valley) the High Roller felt all over the place on the front and the Ardent struggled to gain any traction. On normal trail center duties they were both fine.

Couldn't say on the new trail versions, but I've been using the 2.5 Shorty dual ply on the front when conditions are terrible at races and it's golden. Really grippy, and just as important, predictable. Looking forward to getting a couple of sets of the new EXO Shortys to try next season.

TOTALLY with you on the ardent. It was a great summer tyre but really struggled to get any grip of it in the wet mud. Magic mary goin on the back of mine with a dirty dan on front for the local muddy slop.

Shorty turned up yestreday, first impresions are really good, it went on tubeless no hassle at all with no leaks, build quality looks good, tred looks fairly similar to a Magic Mary with slightly shorter blocks so hopefully should make it a bit more stable in loose conditions, I doubt there will be much in it between the two apart from maybe build quality as we all know the Magic Mary likes to shed it blocks (I hear Schwalbe are working on that)

I'd love to run the arden all winter but the Tweed Valley is just too gloopy, it's not a mud tyre in any way shape or form
