Hi,
Can i fit a standard dropper to a bike that has internal cable routing?
More specifically, I'm thinking of getting the new Commencal Meta V4 and swapping the parts that will fit from my Nukeproof Mega. The reverb I have has just been replaced under warranty so is basically brand new. I was hoping I could put it on the Meta frame?
Ta,
Harry

Yes you could but it would look terrible and you shouldn't do it Some frames have stealth reverb routings at the base of the seat tube but utilise external routing over the rest of the frame and you can use either reverbs on these as they have spare lugs on the frame, however on the meta it is all 100% internal routing so the only way of using an external reverb will be cable ties and that will look shockingly bad as well as rub the paintwork off in a month

You can put an 'externally routed' Reverb on any bike.. As long as the diameter is right!

Balls. That stuffs my idea up a fair bit then :/ I was going to buy the base spec Meta and put my shock, post, bars, stem, rear mech and brakes on and put all of the brand new parts on the mega and sell that as a complete bike with loads of brand new parts.... Those stealth posts cost a bomb too

Sell the mega with the dropper and snap a stealth up in the sales?

May have to. I'm waiting for the Dragon's birthday tomorrow before I break the news that I'd like to hammer the credit card. Hopefully she is in a good mood!

I've not even got a credit card yet, but i've a good credit rating so i'll get 18 months interest free credit. Plan is spend the £1600 on the bike, sell mine for around £1100 and pay it off soon as i get the cash then i've only 500 to pay off over 18 months.
Next question is how much is it worth? I think around £1100....
Nukeproof Mega 2012 Rockshox Reverb dropper Rockshox rct3 Pikes X fusion o2 shock (brand new) sram x7 mech and shifter (brand new) brand new bars and stem brand new saddle brand new db3 brakes xt cranks Raceface narrow wide 34 XT Cassette with one up range extender and 16t bridge cog Hope pro 2 hubs on Stans crest rims Hans dampf front nobby nic rear set up tubeless

Due to popular bits like the pikes, new shock, hope/stans etc I would say £1300 and don't budge, you will get what you want for it eventually. you could always strip it as well which may get you £1300+
