Merlin have a code at the moment. I think it's on their website but if it isn't, I've made a note of it somewhere.
My stealth came in the box with bleed kit and that collar thing.

Sounds good mate - I'll see what Rose are going to refund me and if it's enough it looks like Merlin it is. How are Merlin at warranty for WHEN this one fecks up to?

Got mine from Merlin - thankfully never had to claim. No doubt you will let us know how they are warranty wise when you send yours back

Great price there H, I have decided I want to buy off a big dealer in the UK though, I haven't much faith in the reverb and if the new one goes again I don't want all the hassle of it having to go back to Germany again - cheers anyway mate.
Wonder what the crank bros Kronolog is like? certainly looks nice.

I just can't bring myself to get another Reverb. Think I have been totally soured towards them. Don't get me wrong, I know they are a great bit of kit when they work, but what has really pissed me off is that Rockshox/SRAM refuse to stand behind their product when it does fuck up. I've heard of many cases now of them trying to blame the user ("you bent it" - me fucking arse I did), which in my mind is totally shit. Also, from the off I wasn't a fan of the 'play' in the saddle that is normal in them anyway. So, good old Rose have offered to refund me £210 so I can source my own post - and I'm going for the Thomson Elite. 2 year warranty and I've researched that Thomson stand behind their product, no arguing, no wriggling like Rockshox. I can't believe I am ruining my stealthed up Chief and swapping hydraulic actuated for medieval cable but I just want a post that I know will be on the bike more than off it. More expensive than a Reverb but you get what you pay for. All the reviews say it is beautifully made with zero side to side or vertical play, bombproof, the actuator can be fitted anywhere on the bars and it's a joy to own so that's me. I'll put up with the shitty gold shaft as long as it works. Cheers all for the suggestions.

Fine choice. I'm saving for one at some point this year. The original one I had was brilliant. Preferred it to the reverb. I'll stick the reverb on the fatty I reckon.

I thought you'd had one Munky at some point. Glad I've made the decision now because if I'd stuck with a Reverb I'd just be riding around waiting for it to go on me again. I can get one for £235 as well so it's not even much more than a standard Reverb.

They've already got it mate, tbf there were no quibbles this time, Germany had a look at it and offered a refund or replacement straight away, it was Rockshox UK who were being twattish about it.

Yeah, got the Stealth.
Didn't look at any other posts. And I wouldn't pay Thomson prices for one! Not a fan of cable mechanisms to be honest!
I just see all the mud that collects under the saddle, right where the cable exits.
They are nice, well built and have a superb name though, just not for me!
I think the NP post will prove a winner once they start making other sizes..

Fair comment mate and I was a bit concerned over the cable thing, but having read countless reviews (mostly bike mags) it doesn't seem to be an issue and most rate the action above any other post. I liked the look of the OKLO and it's well priced but it just seems weird to me having another bike branded item on the Rose - if that makes sense? Price of the Thomson is scary but I'm just done with Reverbs. I've been mentally scarred for life
