Yeah, got the Stealth. Didn't look at any other posts. And I wouldn't pay Thomson prices for one! Not a fan of cable mechanisms to be honest! I just see all the mud that collects under the saddle, right where the cable exits. They are nice, well built and have a superb name though, just not for me! I think the NP post will prove a winner once they start making other sizes.. Fair comment mate and I was a bit concerned over the cable thing, but having read countless reviews (mostly bike mags) it doesn't seem to be an issue and most rate the action above any other post. I liked the look of the OKLO and it's well priced but it just seems weird to me having another bike branded item on the Rose - if that makes sense? Price of the Thomson is scary but I'm just done with Reverbs. I've been mentally scarred for life Haha, I'd be the same if I'd had the same trouble as you with Rockshox. I've had countless RS things though and none have ever skipped a beat! To be fair, I've read about the Thomson and the cable wouldn't be a concern for me really. I guess if it snaps, it's easy enough to replace! Hopefully, you'll have better luck with the Thomson, pash git..

Hope so, I don't like to rubbish the reverb, there are many more happy customers than not, but I can only judge through my own experience. I think if RS UK hadn't been such total knobs in the first place, I'd still have one now.
I'm convinced they didn't replace the original post and just replaced the seals and sent it back to me, kicking myself that I didn't record the id of it before sending it to them.
Oh well, history now it's no skin off my snotter, they're the ones who have lost a customer for good.

I think you have just been unlucky. I had an issue with mine after 6 months, sent it back and brand new one returned within a week. I couldn't mess up the colour scheme if i had an all black bike by going for the thompson! It's alright on a shitter like my On One, but not a nice new bouncer like yours.

You're definitely best buying from a UK supplier as it will go tits up eventually. Mine started to lose air pressure and wouldn't stay in the up position. So I did a seal service myself as it seemed like a load of hassle to send back to germany. All seemed to be well after the service but about 2 weeks later it started to lose air pressure again. Luckily it's still under warranty so I'm in the process of sending it back.

This is never ending.
Had a call today from Germany to explain they had fucked up and I cannot be refunded as the part was OEM. They have offered me a brand new 2015 reverb or a KS supernatural (which I know little about) instead.
I'm really not wanting a Reverb back and am a bit pissed off that I can't now just go out and get the Thomson.
Rose do the KS Lev as well, which has good reviews but is even more expensive than the Thomson. I've been cheeky and told them I think I should have the Lev to compensate all the shit I've had over this.
Anyone know anything about the supernatural in case they tell me to do one over the Lev? Or am I just better off giving the 'Verb another go?

Don't worry - Rose have got straight back to me and said I can have the Lev, pretty pleased with that - they are sending it out express today. Straight away I'm looking forward to not having the irritating loop of cable like the standard Reverb - time will tell! If this breaks I'm retiring from the game!! KS LEV

I'm glad you're staying with black . The Thompson would have not looked right on your bike . I quite like the look of the trigger on the Lev

Cheers mate, tbh I don't think I'm getting the black one, I think I linked the wrong one, but I'm beyond the looks stage atm, just didn't want a reverb again. I just want one that works!

I hope it's the black one but don't think it is, I'll have to see when it turns up. As long as it works it can be pink with green spots on - I've just had enough of dealing with Rockshox UK tbh mate.
Next bike I have will be Rockshox and SRAM free.

Well, fair play Rose sent the Lev out express - arrived and fitted today. No time for a proper test run, just a local run around the town to set up the cockpit etc but initial impressions are good. Cons - it's the DX model, therefore gold shaft and I've lost the stealth motif on the Chief. If I have no issues with the Lev I can upgrade in the future to the black post model - which is their top of the range, bit much to expect Rose to replace a £220 Reverb with a £330 Lev - as it is the DX is more expensive than the standard Reverb so can't complain. Air valve is under the saddle, which is a faff if you are a tinkerer, but the up and down is perfect out of the factory for me, so no need to touch it. Hopefully won't miss the Verbs speed adjuster. Pro's - the lever is loads better than the Verbs, lovely action and so is the drop and rise. Using ODI grips it replaces the inner lock ring on the LH of the bars - perfect (got to get ODI grips now ) No play as yet in the post, my reverb had play from the off. Installation was a piece of piss - any problems with the cable in the future, 5 minute job to replace, no bleeding etc. Fixed cable entry at base of post - no more annoying loop of cable when dropped. Build quality/machining looks better than on the verb. Unkowns - Longevity and performance over time. Obviously my Reverb was lovely for a few weeks at least, time will tell on the Lev.

You have come on a long way from the anti-dropper anti-fullsuss young lad on MTBE!
Glad the KS seems better from the off, I think we would all be using them if they weren't so heavy on the wallet!
