Santas fully emptied his sack and found a leftover present (to self) Delivered from rom zee germans whilst I was st work today so didn't sneak past the Mrs. Should look good and perform well with the Pikes. Im not going to fit it or the new wheels i have until I've lost some weight, a stone and four pounds is the target, so as to provide some much needed incentive and motivation.

Swit swooo! Welcome to the black debonair/pikes club. Once you've had black, you'll never go back.

I think so, slightly bigger air can over the old monarch and you can tell - just that bit more responsive and a definite plusher feel to it across both settings (not lockout - obvs) that's how it seesm to me anyhoo.
Did I mention they are black as well and match the reverb and pikes?

Did I mention they are black as well and match the reverb and pikes? Maybe!!!! I might look into it a bit more before I get one, it would suit the colour scheme of my new build.

Very nice mate, you'll need to let us all know how you get on with it I will do but don't expect too much of an depth technical insight, it will probably amount to Something like it feels shit loads better! the fox ctd performance is not that highly rated, to be honest mine felt abut better since fitting a volume reducer so I didn't. Have to have it set too an high of a pressure to prevent it from blowing out, so it can now be set to feel plusher from the start and have loads left in it before bottoming. My gripe is that whilst the climb and trail setting are okay for climbing whilst seated on on mildly technical stuff as it helps to Track to the terrain, it's nowhere near a full lockout in fact climbs softer than trail, so it isn't as efficient for long fire road or relatively smooth climbs. It also definitely favours the sit and spin method, when it gets to pussy cog time I like to drop down a couple of gears every now and then and stand and pound which is hopeless with the fox shock and fsr suspension. roundie , if you are looking at getting one I got mine from R2 bikes as I needed a spesh enduro specific tune and fitting, worked out at £262 and the euros improved further since I ordered. They had lots of variations.
