Having not been out on the bike for a few weeks I got it out and found the rear disc brake sticking/rubbing. I did the usual of loosening the bolts, spinning the wheel and pumping the brake lever a couple of times, held the brake on then tightened the bolts. The wheel then spun freely. Went for a ride and when I got home it was sticking again. Did the same procedure and the wheel spin free again.
will I have to do this every Time?

Sounds like a sticking piston, try removing the caliper and cleaning around the pistons with a cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol or disc brake cleaner, could just be cack in there.
