It has been a fine start to 2015. 1st Jan, ride around Hamsterley forest 4th Jan rode Whinlater for the first time, couldn't walk properly for 2 days after. 8th Jan, local ride. Finding new trails. 11th, we were supposed to be going Inners and Glentress but had a change of plan so went back to Whinlater. lots and lots of PR's 14th going to be riding Hamsterley again. In between all that, took the wife for a night at a spa hotel in Guisborough. sort of enjoyed have a fall body, hot stone massage as well.  All of the above was with great company and great criac all round. Just had to share this with you all. |

Think i've been out twice this year so far, never made it out this weekend due to the snow which i don't enjoy one bit but my nutter mates went and said it was a hoot, still both my rides were up the Golfy and it's super slidey n muddy and very very fun to ride the nooo Conditions are a bit white up here at the mo haha  Glentress black route today |

Did you do the Grisedsle Pike extra bit at Whinlatter?
Cluck cluck chopper ..nice snowfall ..a little white on the hills down here too ..but nowhere near that much !
Still effin windy ..which is the one weather condition I detest riding in !
Hope it changes soon ..starting to feel fratchy !
Where abouts is the Golfy in relation to GT?

No Hodgy, the weather wasn't great and going out over a ridge wouldn't have been the best idea.
Just did the north and south red route.

The golfy is in Innerleithen, instead of turning off to go over the bridge you go staright on and look for signs for the golf course ( not far ) and its around 1.5 miles down the road, there's a gate at the back of the golf course car park, open the gate and up up up you go, various routes, all very natural trails, it does involve lots of up then downs, as its not a route like the xc route at inners just sections , here's a video i found, enjoy the mud n steepness |

I have just spent the last hour writing up a route that we did a couple of years back out of Innerleithen ..on the Scottish Trails banner ..only to lose the fucking lot as I was trying to submit it
Blood pressure is off the scale and I have invented swear words I didn't know existed ..good job the family is out ..but the cat has caught my vibe and has given me a wide berth!
I will re-write it again someday ...when I have calmed down !!
