I heard you'll need a new BB as the axle is 30mm, so throw another £50-70 on top of whatever price.
Still, I do want to get new cranks..

Yeah heard it was a 30mm axle, BB386evos or maybe even BB30s should fit so theres both push and screw fit options not just hope. So, call it 300 for the lot. Pricey, but so tempting.

My plan is to get a Chris King BB soon anyway. But I may get a Hope one, just to tie it all in with the cranks and the hubs.

Hope don't make a BB30 though, do they?
Unless they introduce one of them too!

I think they look tacky. Surprising how much it costs to look that cheap!

Until they get bb standards that work, id avoid 30mm axles personally, pushfit ones are generally proving to be unreliable and impossibly toleranced, if you put a 30mm one in a regular bb, you must have to reduce the bearing size considerably?
They look a bit 90s too, properly forged cranks will always be better than machined ones.

See, if there was a picture of black ones, now that would be ideal.

Finding a good threaded 30mm BB is difficult and even the better ones are a bit shit! Creaky as hell..

Yeah, I spent the entire evening trawling through CRC trying to decide on what to get - I'm still no closer, then I saw how good these looked and I'm even more confused

Hope don't make a BB30 though, do they? Unless they introduce one of them too! BB30, PF30 and 386Evo all have 30mm axles, not used much unless you have a ghey bike and like lycra. May be easier to just get a hope BB, mines slowly dying anyway (my excuse). From what I can tell the Hope ones come with a 30mm bushing adaptor. I'm at work so I cant access much from here I would imagine though give it a couple of months the price may come down a tad but you will see me 30mm axle BB's popping up or adaptor kits.
