I have the performance version, never had the Evo but people slag them off because they perform shit apparently. If the price is right get them & thrash them, you'd not notice any difference to any other fox forks. I know I don't except the stiffness in stanchions.

The Evos use an open bath damper instead of the FIT damper which is in the Performanse and Factory lines. The open bath has come in for a lot of stick.
I'd hold off for a Performance or Factory fork as if you look around you can get them for not much more cash

The 32 evo's had a quality re-call.... they were falling apart... particularly flimsy, if you were to buy them, id reccomend the 2014 cartridge upgrade!!

It would defeat the object if i bought them second hand and spent £££££s having them altered. I'm looking for a decent set 130ish travel for no more than £250 for a hardtail build (456). Sold my HT last year but wish now i'd kept it

Doesn't matter as frame will take either. Straight would be slightly cheaper headset wise.

Cheers Adam. Rebas are looking favourite out of them (had the dual air on my last HT) - cheaper than the Sektors and the Xfusion are only available in white and i want black.

To be honest, i can't tell the difference between one fork and the next. Same can be said for shocks, tyres, wheels, brakes, pedals. Sums up my ability really The only thing i can tell difference between is handlebar width - gaps i could get through with narrow bars i now can't with wider ones.

I agree tbf Will, s' why I'm going with x fusion. All the debate about RS v Fox really doesn't affect me at my level either. As long as they work and ain't half a ton like suntours the name doesn't really matter much.
