I'll disagree with the above.. Follow the Dog is plain boring until the last mile or so! The Monkey is hard work and again, the best bits are at the end. Having said that, there are bits inbetween the start and the end to keep you entertained.. Unlike the Dog! The Dog being good for fitness is debatable. There's only one real climb on it. The Monkey is maybe 50-60% climbing!? Doing Follow the Dog & the Monkey Trail (Donkey) together is only about 12 miles. You start on the Dog (warm up) divert onto the Monkey (workout) and finish up on the Dog again (warm down).. It's very rare I go on either trail alone because I just get a bit bored.. It's great fun in a group though! Opinions are like arse holes - we've all got one I just happen to think the Dog flows better (when it's all open) there are some outstanding sections on the Monkey, but I hate the climbs. just my arse hole opinion, loike.

I've done the donkey and monkey with out stopping , if I put my mind to it I could do both I would just go in to enduro plod mode .. What I'm getting at is if you want to do penmancho and snowdon in a weekend you need to be able to do more than the dog n monkey twice .. Just me talking out my big arse hole

We'll see. ....I either will be able to do it or I won't. I'm not going to stress over it either way, life's too short.
