I did the Peak District Challenge last year with Gaz for charity. This year I'm doing it for celebrateadaywithluke.wordpress.com/He's a little had with a really terrible heart condition and I've agreed to do a MTB challenge to raise some funds this year. By the way all te stockport station stuff on that site is my doing and the lady behind Winnie the Pooh in Starbucks is my mrs working this morning! Question is, does anyone know of any decent MTB rides out there I could do? Cheers.

I'd prefer to do something organised and official, means I can advertise it more on virgin trains websites and internal company stuff, might so the Peak District challenge again but would prefer something different.

Just a thought ... But doing something " organised and official " ..doesn't that usually mean that you then have to do the ride on behalf of the charity organising the ride ? Also are you looking to do the ride on the day ..or would a long distance ride over a few days be considered ? I could suggest a couple of options ..but they wouldn't be organised ..

On the BHF ones you pay a fee to enter and that goes to the organising and charity. Then you can choose to raise money for them or for your chosen charity. I'd prefer a day one, but not adverse to a 2 dayer.

2015 bhf peaks challenge has been cancelled due to Derbyshire council and there trail maintenance crap.
Another good one is the colne valley mtb challenge, 30 miles, and about 4000ft of climbing.
