So i have booked a skills day for the beginning of March and then i fancy going to BPW to test out my new skills!
Not sure all my mates can afford / too tight to pay for the uplift so how long is the climb to the top? The longest trail is 4.6k and others are only 2 so i'm thinking the way up can't be too long.
Anyone done it and how long does it take? If you been to Degla whats in like in relation to the first climb there?
Cheers

Make the most of the day and put it off till you can all afford the uplift, the descents are a lot longer than most trail center type stuff and will take it out of you, I would hate to have had to climb between runs whenever I've gone
Think its only £25/30 uplift, me and a few other are booked in for end of Feb. its a 3 hour drive for me so I want to get as much descending in as possible when I go

My thoughts exactly but want to be able to "knowledgeably" tell them why the uplift is essential. I think we are more blue/red riders so it may not be as tiring?

Just been reading and it seems like it generally takes about 25 mins to ride up. If you're going to do a few runs it works out a lot of climbing. When we were there I made the decision that I would never go and ride up, uplift every time for me.

How does the uplift work as I've never done one. Do you just get to the bottom and queue to get bus back up?

Priority, if you have paid for the day or one where people hope to just pay on the uplift. I saw people queuing for ages in that queue as the priority people filled the buses

The main marked cycle up route is called the beast of burden. It really is that, you won't want to do that multiple times. There is a fire road climb which runs almost parallel but it's still a solid 30mins.
You may be a blue and red trail centre rider but I've found BPW to be a whole different experience. Definitely worth waiting for the uplift, after 10 odd visits I won't be visiting again if I can't get the uplift.

This might seem like a stoopid question ..but is the uplift service for every run ..even if it is blue /red or black ?

Yeah it is, all the descents begin from the same place at the top of the hill, the the runs each break out onto a fire road where the next section starts.
Doesn't matter about your ability, the bus takes you straight to the start of the runs.

This might seem like a stoopid question ..but is the uplift service for every run ..even if it is blue /red or black ? Yeah Neil . When you get to the top there is about 5 trails to chose from . Most of these have forks off them onto other trails . There is a fire road that runs across half way down . You can then pick again which run you fancy This is a video from when me and Marc went . We start at the top then at 53 secs we fork to the right . At 1m 15 we carry onto the a470 line (my favourite trail) but there is a trail to the left . It carries on like that

Haven't booked one yet though, which course you doing? intermediate? A mate of mine has organised it with a Nathan Fullwood via facebook Chase Trails group. It's 4 to 5 hours for 4 of us at a really good price. Will take place around stile cop area. I got a good contact of irideabike but they were too pricey for the others. Doing it on the 7th March.
