I really should. But I want some new wheels, out on a few rides now I've felt my wheels not quite give the stiffness on some descents I'd like.. so what am I looking to replace them with? Well, these: 2014 CrankBrothers Iodine 2
Bargain price, and my mate who works there is going to see if they can get the Iodine 3's instead.

Yep, I've got them! Kinda crapped myself the first few rides on them. How can a wheel with so few spokes be so strong? You'll certainly get plenty of looks. I was worried about the reputation the wheels had for hub problems but, as yet, they've been 100% trouble free. It's a bit of a bonus too that you won't need rim tape if you plan on going tubeless

Over engineered wheels for the over engineered bike I think the issues affected the 2013 hubs, with the 2014 hubs having that issue solved. Also the not needed rim tape is absolutely ideal!

Mine came with valves too!
They look good in the pictures but you absolutely love 'em in the flesh.. They look 100 times better!

The only problem I have with the wheels is finding spare spokes!
I've not searched for a fair while now so they may be more readily available!
If you happen to stumble across any in orange 26" flavour, would you let me know?

Pretty sure you could buy some 35mm light bikes carbon rims on hope hubs for less than that.
Unlike crank bros they'd be designed with the most basic engineering principals in mind, be vastly better quality, much stronger, much more reliable, they'll have actual aftersales support, standard spokes, better tyre profiles, be much much lighter and people wont think you're a mong, they'll think you're a pimp because everyone knows carbon rims are for heros.

I am a mong though. I'm not fussed about carbon wheels tbh, never appealed to me. Looks great on some, just don't want them on mine.

Mong - I love that word.
I prefer 'shitmong' though. As in 'he's a proper shitmong, he is'.

Spackers. Those new superstar 25mm wide tubeless rims look really good you know... they come in all sorts of tarty colours to keep you internet types happy too and cost literally nothing, spec wise they seem comparable to stans flows (love them, bombproof, light), but they have eyelets... which makes them superior in my opinion. You could buy some shit hot hubs, get a really good wheel build and still be quids in. Crank bros wheels have no redeeming features at all.

I like the look of the SS rims too - been hearing good things about them. Will probably be the next purchase when required.

You didn't hang about getting those mate, they look spot on!! Shit day at work. Needed something to cheer me up. An absolute bastard to get the tyres on though. A lot of swearing was involved. Be interesting to see how they handle Afan on Monday!

Be interesting to see how they handle Afan on Monday! How you finding the trail kings? Have you set em up tubeless, got some for the Whyte, seem like a decent tyre. Oh you jammy git, you'll have fun there. Wish I could get my build underway but the frames still at the powder coaters

They stick like shit to a blanket. I do have the BlackChilli compound though, will definitely be running them during the summer.
Tubeless is all set up and ready to go! I was wondering where the updates were on the G150!

I was wondering where the updates were on the G150! We're they easy to set up tubeless? Tell me about it mate, I've got a spare room full of parts that I need fitting! Can't wait to get the build going now.

Seriously easy as piss. Because the spokes don't go into the actual rim, it's all totally sealed all the way round with the only opening being for the valve, and they came with some in a bag in the box ready to go. All seated straight away first time, it was just the tyres I had issues with, right bastards to get on!
