I hope somebody is taking notes.. Pity Zulu is not coming. He could print Off the instructions and get them laminated. We'd be fine then He did that at Afan and to be fair, it came in useful towards the end.. He still looked a twat though

I looked like a trail boss, steely eyed, lantern jawed, sat calmly astride my trusty steed, laminated A4 map of Afan in hand and gazing heroically with grit and determination into the far distance at the uncaring and harsh Welsh mountains, whilst all around me were lost and without hope....
.....yeah, I did look a bit of a twat, as it goes.

Plenty of apps and gps available on most phones also, and there's always Coggers Compass!.. This is very true ..the maps I laminate are usually the ones that come out of the magazines ..which also have route instructions ..turn left or right here etc I usually carry a relevant O.S Map too ..but the tool which has got me out of a lot of trouble since downloading it to my I-phone is the View Ranger App ..which with the relevant OS map downloaded as well gives you an exact location on the map as well as a grid ref ...and the app itself is for nowt ... You can't be too careful out there !.....

I've checked every weather app I've got installed but I can't find one that says it's not going to rain on Saturday. I may bring my sonar device instead of the compass

Better bring me some spare clobber then!
I might buy myself a flask too.. Gotta have me brews in the car, like!
It's gonna be weird being a passenger. I've been going up and down the M6 for the best part of 10 years but never as a passenger!

It'll have to be raining hard to get Jay wet.
The only bloke I know who is so thin he has to run around in the shower to get wet..

My fear is that we do what Rach suggested and we end up in Scotland or summat! Mind you, Gaz does have a fancy Garmin! He don't know how to use it though I've been watching you tube clips ive learnt how to turn it on now after 3mths
