Zulu is the missus not complaining about you wanting as many pedals as she has shoes. Just stick to what you know and get another set of mooves in a different flavour. If you really want something different make sure they have thru pins, I found them easier to replace as screw ins can be a bit of a pain to change if bent/sheared off.

Yeah, got the thru pins on the current Mooves, the grub screws worry me as I am always bashing the pedals off rocks etc.
2 bikes and 2 sets of pedals is all I have - nowhere near enough, especially as one set are SPD's which I've gone off a bit, if I'm honest.

im mixed in opinion about the thru pins. because of potentially damaging the thread of the pin (rock bashes and stuff)it means that if you're removing them you're unscrewing the damaged thread thru the good thread of the pedal which may in turn damage the thread of the pedal whereas with grub screws the damaged part of the pins would be already clear of the pedal. I bought the superstar nanos a while ago and found that because of the profile of the pedal, the pins wernt long enough so I replaced them with longer pins for more effective grip

Ha ha no thanks mate - I quite like the skin on my shins where it is - on my shins! Strange how we are all different though ain't it? I know you don't rate the Mooves at all but most seem to love em. You sure you haven't got hooves instead of feet? you are a Derby lad....

Glynn aren't the grubs a total barstard to get out if the snap at the base though? a thru pin can have a tap run down it, I'd have thought.

Just to throw my 10p worth in.....I've been in maintenance for over 10 years now and never seen a grub screw snap/shear etc below the surface it is screwed into, not sure it's even possible.. If they shear at the surface, they are simple to knock round and once loose unscrew with yow fingers. Not saying it can't/won't happen, just that I've never seen it.. EDIT:- Just re-read the whole thing and I think I misunderstood.. Just disregard what I said above and carry on thinking I'm a cumb dunt

The new version V12's look good in black at 16mm deep and 430g, for about £40. NP Electron Evo's look a bargain as well at £24, even lighter at 345g, but composite. Tough decision, as always.

Only 2 sets, did you not post a pic of some dodgy looking x shaped ones a while back that you didnt get on with?

Sold them mate - to someone on the old board. I did advise him to change the pins as they were'nt very grippy, tbf.
I've decided I'm going for the latest version V12's by the way all - thanks for the suggestions. The Nukes just have to much logo for me - plus the V12's have more pins, are really thin and are stealthier - under £40 too.

Pay extra £16 and get the Magnesium ones! £16 quid is nothing over how long you will have them and you can call them 'magz' and be all cool and that.

I've got the CarbonCycles Exotic flats - same as the nanos.
If you fancy composite Superstar do a version similar to the nano for about £20 iirc.

www.moovebikeco.com/magnate-magnesium-flat-pedalsIve just bought these after i bought the none ti axle versions last week , they never had the black in stock so i ordered the red with normal axles , along with gold pins at extra cost) . I will now sell the red ones with black pins as now i have got the black ones with gold ti axles . if somebody is interested they are still brand new and will sell for £45 posted as i paid £50.49 only last week and they have not been used they are the red ones and come with black pins and weigh in at 340g . my new ti ones when i get them will be around 260 grams. bargain for £81 delivered . and had last pair too . will look nice with black pedals . gold pins and gold ti axles . they look bloomin smart in red though and might keep them as spare if nobody wants them.
