Isn't that what they come with on the Evo if you buy the full bike from On One? Well, 10mm difference in travel but that's all as far as I can see?

I can't see that 10mm making a huge difference mate - I'd get em! It's only the difference between a soft fork and a rock hard one!

I wouldn't run a 456 with anything less than 150mm personally..
It's primary purpose is to be a hardcore hardtail afterall.

10mm can't be that much difference - after all, On One themselves build the bike with 140's...might be SLIGHTLY easier climbing but for my riding...140 is plenty. FFS for my riding a barbie bike with pink tassles on the bar is plenty

I don't recall ever getting off a bike after a ride thinking "I need more travel"....... bigger balls - yes, more travel, no. Looks good though.

If I only needed new forks for this build I would be looking at 140/150 options but as I need a new front wheel, stem, bars, saddle and post and a few other bits. Just trying to keep the cost of the build down and the forks linked would do that and give me more travel then I have now.

Ffs, at that price get em quick I say. Run them a while, if you need more travel sell em on, recoup your money and get something bigger when funds allow. You never know you might find 130mm is all you want. Bargain.

It's an adaptable bike, let's not get confused the geometry was designed for 150-160, it's a hard hitter... But I'm sure it'll perform like an XC bike, as long as you don't ho hard hitting with the 130's and keep it XC stylee you shouldn't have a problem

Depends what your definition of 'hard hitting' is, I think we all get caught up in the travel debate too much at times. 130, 150. .If you actually physically look at a tape measure it's feck all is it? I've got around CYB, Llandegla etc on an out and out 100mm XC Cube. 130 will be fine as long as you ain't DHing it. As someone says you can always go bigger if you feel you need to later.

You won't get the best out of the frame with less than 150mm! Yes, it'll be 'ok' and ride well but not aswell as with 150mm. Not opinion but fact It may be 'feck all' on a tape measure but your tape measure isn't a suspension fork.. And if were talking about what we need VS what we want... You might aswell chuck all your suspension away because you don't need it at Cannock or a lot of places in Wales!

Wouldn't be the first time. Show me the rule book where it says you can only have a 456 if you're 'hard hitting' and it'll be w@nk with anything less than 6" of travel - goo on then, smart arse

Again, you completely miss the point!
I asked how many 456's you'd ridden as a genuine question.
Do you seriously think that a frame designed to be used with such a wide range of suspension fork is going to perform just aswell at one end of the scale as it does at the other??
To be honest,I can't be arsed discussing it.. Enjoy your 456!

I can't be stood here bandying fripperies with kids. I'm off out to freeze me tits off, I'm gonna drop the forks to 120mm and do the whole ride like that - that'll show you!

Depends what you want to do with it. Remember the longer the fork the greater the effect on geometry when it uses it's travel. Compressing a 150mm fork is going to make that head angle super steep and there is no way of getting around that. I'd personally be looking at 130-140mm as a happy medium, my 456 has that and i've never felt a lust for an extra 10mm.
