Not necessarily, frames are getting more and more low slung, which is a good thing for maneuverability/strength/weight/stiffness, if you can drop them down further and bring the post up to compensate, then thats even better. I dont think id have the 200mm one personally, but the 170mm one with an extra 45mm over my reverb would be welcome, its always felt like a comprimise between getting the seat high/low enough, so at neither end it really feels like its where id want it.
270ish is a standard price for a higher end post now too isnt it? Stealth, thompson, fox, etc?
