Every time I've been there on a mid ride cake and coffee stop this little chap turns up, bit of a local legend. So tame it's unreal, doesn't often have stuff on the table but will happily come up, eyeball you for a bit then eat off your plate with you! managed to catch him on the phones camera the other day. I'm sure that anyone who uses the caff will know him - legend! Obligatory bike pic scoffing what's put out - flapjack of course! Right, what else have you got? I'm having what's on your plate - are we doing this the easy way? or do you want it the hard way. Sorry to bore you all but it was a solo ride - sometimes solo rides throw up these moments, which I love. At least it's not a bike against a fence! He hopped up to my plate just after the last shot, had some more flapjack and pissed orf! thought I'd share. Also I'm sat at home, full of cold and bored

Believe me, I got dead lucky there - as i took the photo he was still scoffing - by the time the shutter went he had decided to hop over to me to see what I was eating - dead lucky!

There was a dead tame squirrel on the trail down from Stile cop to the upper cliff decent. Oh no my mistake, he was just dead!

When we spotted it the other week I got to the top of that horrendous climb before one of my riding mates (who is a vet). I made out like there was an animal emergency, the poor thing was almost mummified!

I've heard tales from the forestry lads of how over a number of weeks they tamed a fox to come very close while eating their bait .. Bloody inquisitive creatures .. I chased one along a forest road once and when it jumped into the tree cover it didn't keep running but instead turned , crouched down and watched as I passed by ..

Robins are cute but on the downside a bird took the time to shit all over me on a bike ride over baggeridge a couple of years ago, i swear there was that much he must have been saving it up for me and it was warm. I thought i was gonna be sick, but when my hubby pointed out that it was a sign of good luck i scraped it off with leaves and went straight to buy a lottery ticket. It isnt lucky, just sticky and worse than riding through dog poo imo.

I was at the cafe yesterday.. It was full to the brim with roadies talking about heart rates and cadence. I got me flap-jack and coffee and went and sat well away from them! I didn't want people thinking I was with them
