I've bought a whyte 901 which is a phenomenal piece of kit but the cranks, bb etc are average. I've got an XTR crankset with zee shifter, 1x10 set up with a on up 42t sprocket to go on. My slightly drunken question is, can I leave the sram bb on to go with the XTR cranks?

don't think so, think the Sram use a slightly smaller diameter axle
and also don't they clamp differently? think the BB's are designed differently as sram compress on the BB but shimano lightly squeeze and use pinch bolts?
I could be wrong, I often am

Unfortunately they are not cross compatible SRAM cranks are narrower on the drive side so you wouldnt be able to fit the Shimano HT2 crank through.

Well it's certainly different - for me it normally goes this way.... 'Help, I've started drinking and then bought a new bike....' That would never happen to me.. It's usually "help, I've started drinking and fallen asleep" Got through about 12 eyebrows doing this.
