Dont worry im not going to don the lycra and start dancing round a set of dropped bars.
Decided to learn how to build wheels. Picked up a truing stand, spoke tensioner an a couple of other bits just wondering any one have any tips for building? Also places that sell spoke nipples would be great

ive got the hang of truing wheels now with a spoke key and my dropouts. Sure it would be easier with a proper stand e.t.c
Wouldn't know where to start with wheel building, watch loads of vids. IIRC, my MTB Maintanace book has a couple page spread on wheel building, so it may be worth getting a book too, plenty on the internet though

been my thinking, from what ive seen it makes sense i tweaked up my wheels today because the weathers shite out. Quite satisfying though doing it.
Got an old wheel with a damaged rim so im going to see about a new rim and built it up. Cheap rim will be ordered soon me thinks.

Sorry! been an ordered a nipple driver (kinky tool) and some nice spoke wrenches.
I've an old cracked wheel its got an OK hub so plan is get a rim with the same ERD which is pretty easy and swap the rim over. Make up a nice little wheel for the turbo trainer that way an use it as a guinea pig to learn on.

Not sure I'm going to need one. I can flip flop the wheel to dish it using a known straight rim. If I do need one I'll get the Minoura one as it actually folds down the Park ones are either two bolts to take it apart or a giant bar
