Took the 901 there today for the first time, that things lightning! Couldnt recommend it enough, it was muddy, I managed to bust a retaining bolt on the XTR cranks so the arm carried on needing to be tightened and I was hungover and i killed 28 PRs on Strava. The geometary on it gives you so much confidence, feels like your weight is in the exact right place, rather than over the front wheel and it gives so much confidence.
Also had the Ghost Chilli burger in rthe cafe which went down well!

I Love degla think its a way better trail than cannock .. Just a shame it's a bloody 2hr drive ... But then I would go to much and get bored of it .. One thing I do find with degla is it makes you go faster that you would normal ride and all of a sudden your hitting jumps faster than you normaly would and bang it's spits you off ... And bites you...

Llandegla is mint.. Miles better than Cannock any day of the week!
I know what you mean about the speed. You seem to pick it up from nowhere and I love the amount of jumpy bits there!

Degla is my fave trail centre so far...by far!! It is loads better than anywhere else I've been. If I lived closer I'd never be off the bugger!

i love the fast swoopy bermy runs down through the trees but it certainly makes you work hard on the climbs to be able to enjoy it. far more rewarding than the chase.

Hungover on a wednesday!
Can i just ask, as ive never ridden a trail center, what are they like? Seen a few videos, and the trails at cannock especially seem like twisty gravel paths and not trails. Most of the people riding them online seem to be going about 10mph and ''cruising'', could just be the camera but just doesnt do it for me.
when im riding, literally ragging it as fast as i can, i finish the trail blowing out of my arse and nearly shaking with adrenaline. The sense of speed when you're flying down some slippy, muddy trail between trees is unreal. But by the looks of things, trail centers dont really look like that! Correct me if im wrong but thats just my opinion. Having said that, ive never been to one so cant really comment.

It depends which trail centres you ride sherwood pines is very natural xc based .. can is very gravely bloody slippy in the wet .. But you can ride of pista and there is some great natural trails .. Degla is man made like the rest , but very jumpy .. And very fast in places scary fast ..

Can I just add that the blue trail at degla is in my opinion THE most underrated MTB trail in the country.

The only way you'd know is to ride one. Parts of the Monkey especially at Cannock are flying through tight trees. The beauty of TC's is you get a good mix of terrain all in one spot. Too many are quick to knock em, I think.
Having said that I prefer the natural trails myself but they have a place - especially when the naturals become to boggy to ride...

Glad others appreciate the blue too.
Had a burger off the specials board, spicy welsh burger with the chefs own ghost chilli sauce.
As an ex chef I had to talk to him, it had blueberries, ghost chillies and onions in. Bloody lovely!
Lloyd of the ingredients were from within a few miles of the trail centre, they even don't do onion rings and do leer rings instead!
