First run down the north loop descent felt a bit sketchy on the front so on the second time round i let 5 seconds worth of air out and it was perfect. How many psi i started or finished with i've no idea I'm loving all the manly, ruffty tuffty squeezing going on but my theory is this, rather than waste a run faffing about putting air in, letting it out, why not just get it right and KNOW it is bang on before you leave the house and then just enjoy your ride.

How is a chart on the Internet going to help you with that Tyre pressure is an opinion not a fact

Bloody Luddite. I can't wait to travel with you to Snowdon. I'm looking forward to seeing you trying to check the pressures in your pick ups tyres with your fingers

As I said I am deffo a bit OCD on this - the calculator is just a bit of fun really - probably a good place to start from but it is a personal preference is the tyre pressure thang. Just so happens that for me, after much experimentation on the Dog over a season with different pressures, what the calculator comes up with is what I've found to be my optimum settings, probably luck!

You can be the psi ninja, whilst we're sleeping you can set our optimum psi and then rejoice at the bottom of Snowdon when we are all saying how much better our bikes felt. That's when you reveal your cunning trickery

Nelly - this is a brilliant plan, I'll get a name badge made up saying just that 'PSI Ninja'. Along with the laminated trail maps I'll be slipping under all your pillows. You'll all be cheering me and singing my name, just you watch.

Pretty spot on, 25 psi up front and 27 psi up rear for our slippery Lake District tech! Love a bit of OCD... Check before most, if not every ride, and adjust accordingly! Bloody hell ...you must only be about 4st 2 lb ! Lol. I wish! Try doubling that and then add a couple!

Errrr, i always run my tyres at about 30psi, but the calculator says they should be much lower. I think i may give it a go this weekend, whats the worst that can happen
