I can't decide between a fat bike and a 29er singlespeed
Which do you think?

Even if I could ..I wouldn't build either ..but would use the money on some mtb trips home & abroad....

Fair point.
It's not money that stops me travelling the UK but time.. I've no real desire as yet to travel abroad!

Neither for me if I'm honest but if I had to be pushed it would be the 29er at least they have a use unless you line in the North Pole.

That niner is sex - even with wagon wheels.

Wagon wheels are superb for singlespeed. Fast as fook!
Problem with the Niner is that they don't make the Air 9 as SS anymore so I'd have to buy a used one.
The Tusker is now fully customisable on the website which is a plus for the fat bike.

Well to me it's an obvious decision mate - the niner is a thing of beauty, the fat bike is just a thing. That's just my opinion obvs - I know you've hankered after a fatbike for yonks. Niner.

Can't see the point in either. Like hodgy said, i'd rather spend more time on the "best" bike with trips places, new clobber and upgrades There's no point to having 6 pairs of shoes... I still have 6 pairs of shoes though.

As above, if you already have a great bike I would make it greaterer/more stuff/travel money. If I had to buy one I'd go for the clown bike cos it looks mental and would be great for getting the miles in. Fatbike is just a normal bike with draggy wheels to me. Your money your choice though?

Have to agree on this, they are no draggier than a normal mtb tyre, you have to set your tyre pressures for the conditions you ride in, IE I've run mine as low as 3.4psi in snow and not suffered drag, then on hardpack I've run 12psi and clocked a 12mph average over a 20 mile xc loop, give one a go you'll be surprised

And here was me thinking he was a hero for riding it on a 40 mile loop lol
