I bought the frame with fork second hand last week and just finished building it up out of mostly spare parts. Some of which will make do until I decide if I really like it or not. had a quick test ride and run the brakes in earlier and it feels very nimble for a wagon wheeler. 2012 Transition Bandit 130mm fox float boost custom with kash. 140mm pike Rct. Trail 7 brakes for now and may switch with the guides from my hardtail. 1x10 with hope chainring, xo/x9 combo, 42t lazy sprocket on the back. Roval traverse wheels. Will be purgatory and butcher 2.3 tyres but haven't changed the back yet. no dropper as yet until I know it's a keeper so just have a quick release clamp for now so I can move if required. Mind you I got a 400mm post and the seat tube must be very short as I can only lower it by a couple of cm. a dropper would need to be 380mm especially for my short legs. i may part with the hard tail if this runs well.

That is a sweet ride, I'm pretty sure it will be a keeper!

Spending more time time fettling with them than riding but never mind. Switched the fox shock which had seen better days for a monarch debonair and added a reverb. Switched the rubber to spesh butcher and purgatory.

I personally think the Debonair is a superb trail shock. Mine is rock solid. Not literally, though.

I love my bandit. just wondering why you`ve run the hose through the shock mount rather than the cable guides?

I love my bandit. just wondering why you`ve run the hose through the shock mount rather than the cable guides? I bought a right hand remote but wanted the remote on the left of the bars inverted so the cable needed to pass the head tube on the right. Using the left hand cable guides would lead to a messy cross over. The cable drops neatly on the left when the saddles dropped so thought I would feed through the shock linkage and then pass through to the right hand side. it's running a little slow so may need to bleed, it's easy enough on the reverb.

my dropper remote is under the lh side.i`ve run the hose across the front of the head tube and then back under the top and down the lh side of the top tube.might not be everybodies idea of cable routing but it works for me and so far no cable rub. 20150328_204336 by firebrace, on Flickr 20150328_204410 by firebrace, on Flickr

Ridden the Bandit for the first time over mixed terrain today.
What a bike, it pedals up hills very well to say it's no skinny weenie. The best is that it's just so easy to move around and pops up over any slight bumps on the trail. I can bunny op, change direction much easier on this than any bike I've ridden.
Handled multiple flights of steps with ease, some reasonable sized drop offs with no problems.
Only thing is now I can see myself picking this out too ride far more often than the enduro as it's just such a good all rounder.

Looking good Kirky, what bike you bringing up to GT on Thursday? I'm tempted to go with the bandit given the long climb up to the top. do you think the Enduro could could be overkill?
