while changing the end caps of my pro 2 hubs to fit a through axle (cheers andyr) I somehow managed to pull the cassette and freehub out of the hub body.i separated the cassette and hub but when I`ve tried to refit the free hub I can`t get it to click back into the hub.do I need the special hope tool to refit it? i`ve put it all back together and everything seems fine so it`ll be getting ridden at the weekend.
obrigada.

They can be feckin difficult to get them to 'click' I used a piece of poly pipe the first time and eventually got it to go. Bought the proper kit after that £5 or £6 - piss easy then.

cheers will,i`ll probably get one from crc.i reckon it could be one of those tools that you use once and never use again. how`s your battered old body doing?
**edit**
went down the cellar at 5.30 this morning to try the poly pipe method and when I pulled the cassette off the hub was firmly in place,it must have clicked in when I put it back together last night. I thought all was good and then found the bottom bushing on the shock mount has worn out again

Knee's a bit fecked - had an MRI scan on it and as well as general 'wear and tear' there's a tear in the cartlidge. Just waiting for to see a specialist. Still getting some riding in but the hills prove a bit painful. Just had a shock serviced by TF Tuned - £174
