Copied from Facebook:- Advance Notice :- Due to multiple tree harvesting operations, we will have to close the Monkey Trail for a short period of time. This will start Monday 16th March and anticipate the closure to last 5 weekdays. We will post updates on our Facebook page From Chase Trails:- FYI this is primarily due to harvesting on/next to Lung Buster and Tight Squeeze - the decision was taken because the only real option for a diversion is along the main road, which is out of the question for obvious reasons. About Lower Cliff (copied from Facebook) Lower Cliff will remain closed for a while yet - the harvesting is still in progress, and there will be a lot of work to be done afterwards to get the trails cleared for reopening. Lower Cliff won't be open any time soon. They're still working on getting the trees out, and once that's done there's a *lot* of work to be done to clear the trail of debris/damage/etc |

That's not the end of the world i guess. The weather is pish for next week anyway. I've read the cliff is shagged, are any other trails knackered? From what I saw the other day, Lower Cliff is shagged. Chase Trails have said contractors will be repairing it! |

Fingers crossed, Lower Cliff won't be done in the same way! You never know, it could be better!! Proper berms on the tight corners for a start  |

I saw this on facebook and thought oh better get a ride in today, but when i got there high voltage and devils stair case were shut we had to go on a divert via the old kit bag hill section to get on the monkey. It was a good ride though, despite the closures. |

It was a good ride though, despite the closures. They've put some new steps in on Devils Staircase, a few extra steps too High Voltage is closed for FC tree felling and Bomb Hole is closed (I think it's still closed) to be re-worked! I think the 'new' climb back upto the Dog from the Monkey is closed too!? |

Yep the new kit bag hill climb is closed, hopeful it will all be open for summer, fingers crossed:-)
