Rite peeps , mite be looking at getting a second bike I considered a hard tail , but due to having a lot of back problems .. It sort of canceled that one out.. Max 2k budget .. Got to be a 29er sorry guys I like them.. When they saw me ride that's why they made em.... They make up for a lot of my lack of skills on a bike.. Will be be looking at doing xc sort of rides be comfy for say 60 miler loops , be easy to climb on up hills .. Aka not a bloody lardy Orange 29er not looking for a big hitter ... The above bike does that .. Well when I'm not the one riding it.. any way the one that seemed to tick the boxers for me and gets good reviews is the Camber comp eve .. Spesh.. Just wondered wots your views are on it? www.mbr.co.uk/reviews/full-suspension-bikes/specialized-camber-comp-evo-reviewplus ideal for the wife to be to ride it as well.. Well that's wot ive told her

While reviews are a good pointer to how the bike is ..one mans heaven is another mans hell ..and I wouldn't buy anything without testing it first Any decent bike shop will have a demo bike that you can ride for a fee ..and if you buy the bike they will usually refund that fee Go find your nearest spesh dealer and take it for a spin..

Looks a very capable bike that and the review is glowing.

Nelly the Cotics and Stantons (especially the Stantons) are my dream HT. Wish I could justify the 2 grand + spend but I certainly can't.
Shame you can't manage a HT Gaz- lots cheaper and in some cases - more fun!

Fair enough mate, you know your back best. As for buying from abroad - you are spot on. As you know I love my Chief but I will never buy from abroad again. For all the great spec and savings - you just can't beat dealing face to face with a UK brand instead of endless fecking half understood phone calls and emails to get something replaced.

Isn't a road bike even worst than a HT? fully rigid and some of our roads are like being off road!

Me to, was thinking of buying a BFe 275 and slowly building it up on the cheap but that will end up being, buying a BFe and a month later having a 1x11 hoped up pimp build with a large amount on a credit card Then I would ride the arse off it, realise the 160mm mega is pretty pointless and sell it Would love a Stanton but there biggest size has a 30mm shorter effective top tube than cotic's and the cotic is on the limit for me size wise

The camber evo is supposed to be a very good bike, if you want a bigger difference from the orange though and more cx you could also test ride the Epic. Another that is supposed be great for long cx type rides of the big wheel flavour is the giant anthem,.
There's great deals to be had on the 2014 versions though, same frame but much better a possibly better and defo not inferior spec only last years model? You can get a 2014 carbon camber for your budget not sure about an evo though.

like specializeds but unless you shelling out closer to 3k they are relativley poor value for money.

Thanks pal ridden the giant , not that keen on it , very fast bike as well shows a clean pair of heels to my five round hicks ... Lodge .. Not keen on carbon my mate had the camber carbon , it went crack round the linkage part They replaced the frame and he sold it ... Was a big lad like me ...
