Right, my work place use the Halfords cycle to work scheme. I've never used C2W before as I don't want anything from Halfords. It turns out that places such as Tredz and Leisure Lakes accept Halfords C2W vouchers. Ka-ching!!
I went online to apply (the only way I can for some reason) and it says that I must select a bike etc (from Halfords) before completing my application.
Where does the voucher come in to it? It seems I won't be issued with one!?

Strange! on ours you just pick the level of money you want ie up to a grand and then they send you an e-voucher! that takes a few weeks as we have a 'window' every March where you can apply for the C2W.
When it first started you had to supply a LBS code but that's stopped now. Best thing to do is talk to leisure lakes or tredz and they will guide you through it. That's what I've done with Bird bikes.

We have a window too, it's open now but I'm unsure when it closes.
It comes up with 'you must select your bike before proceeding' and then take me to Halfords! I'll give Tredz a bell tomorrow and pop upto the dozy bints in HR at work tomorrow!

you can select a bike that isnt from halfords. You can also select other equipment if you want such as helmet, and pedals and hydra packs etc etc and then add that value in up to your salary maximum whatever that may be.

It won't let me. It says that my application won't be complete until I've selected a bike & equipment etc from the Halfords site!

apologies, you need to speak to the person looking after bike to work at your work. I chose a halfords bike for my first one but some colleagues went to a local bike shop and it was sorted from there with their voucher.
that was 2010 mind so it may have changed

From reading other threads on other forums Halfords can get you pretty much any make of bike, not just what they have on their website - give them a call to see what they can do.
