I set up the wheels on my Commencal Meta V4 (own brand Alpha rims that weren't tubeless ready) using Joe's valves (Schrader) and Stan's tape and sealant. They have been fine for about 5 rides but yesterday I did an urban ride and noticed some Stan's on the outside tyre wall when I was down the metro underpass in Wolvo. Fast forward a few miles and showing off in front of the kids on the pump track I took a very fast left hander and I felt the tyre squirm underneath me and again there was evidence of Stan's on the outside of the tyre. I nursed it home and had obviously lost a lot of pressure (reading around 10PSI!). I hadn't used the bike for 2 weeks and didn't bother (stupidly) to check pressures before leaving. The front tyre is a tubeless Maxxis High Roller 2.
Should I be worried or is it more likely down to losing pressure whilst it's been sat around and there just isn't enough air in it to hold it on the rim when under high load?

Always worth checking as they will drop a tad of pressure .. I was lazy yesterday and my rear was very low oops didn't leak any stans ...

It's a bit un-nerving as I was going like a bat out of hell banked right over as I hit the tarmac start 'hump' and I felt it squirm then grip again. You've gotta show these kiddie-winks how it's done though haha.

I never had the slightest bit of bother with my Stans/Schwalbe setup, but those rims were obviously designed to be tubeless from the start, wheras these aint!!

Superstar ds25's look like great rims for £30, id say for the sake of 60 quid you do tubeless properly and run whatever pressures you want with confidence? Stans flows arent outrageously expensive any more either.

Get the stupidly expensive Stans rim strip (the rubber ones, not the tape) or use the cheaper ghetto version (24" inner tube cut down) to line the rim. Sounds like you're not getting a tight enough seal on the bead.

Try explaining that to the missus when you get home from a night ride !

More pressure and another wrap of rim tape will sort it out.
