Guys, Anyone used the KS eTen Dropper?.
Noticed them on bike-discount.de yesterday while I was looking for something else lol, seems good value for between £80 - £90.
Found a Review on pinkbike which looks favourable, granted it's a bit basic with the use of steel and an out-sourced steel 'open bath' damper (if you invert the seat post the oil sloshes around and you need to wait for it to settle before it'll work correctly again).
Really tempted to get one, not sure whether to go for the remote or the under seat lever version though. |

Reverbs can be had for silly cheap now so I wouldn't go for a budget dropper

Cheapest reverb I can find new is £170'ish - so pretty much double the price.
Not sure how much I'd use one so was thinking I could get a cheaper one to see if it's worth while.

£90 is a lot on something that you will upgrade if you like
The open bath system means that the oil and air can mix when transporting the bike on its side or working on it upside down, the seat then needs cycling a few times and leaving for a few minutes before it can be used again, 100mm isn't a lot of drop either and it's even less when according to the Internet the seat regularly doesn't fully extend

To be fair I use mine all the time .. It's up and down like a tarts knickers ... My mate Rick has just had one fitted and said he will never ride with out one now .. Well worth it . |

Only reason I replaced it was because I was running a reverb on another bike and it was much faster to return to full height which I preferred. I would buy one again if I was on a tight budget but once you've used a reverb there's no question which is better. 2nd hand reverbs can be found for just over £100, try pinkbike, ,STW etc If you did go for the eten then get the remote version, I had a KS i900 with the under seat lever and it was deadly having to remove one hand from the bars when you come across a section that you wanted your seat lowered. |

Thanks guys.
Reasons I want to try one are:
1. If I don't like it I can not spec it on my next bike
2. Might stop saddle/nut interface issues when I mess up slightly
3. Everyone else has one lol

Well I may have forgotten to remove the dropper from my basket when I ordered some new brake rotors.........
Will report back after holidays and I've used it.
