Good idea. Carry the bike to the top of Everest, then ride it down

The guy in the shop said these were great for pushing your bike uphill :-) ....nah to be honest im thinking of trying clip in pedals at some point I use some normal flat trail shoes but I fancy being clipped in a go ...crash and burn I say :-)

I went clipless yesterday for the first time ever on the scott carbon and thinking of getting some decent spd pedals and some better shoes as both the shimano pedals and shimano shoes are a bit naff . the shoes are 1 size too big and bought them and the pedals 3 years ago and never had the balls to use them . so much better and the power you get from using them is great and feel more confident that my feet wont slip of the pedals like they do on flats . riding them on the trails will be a different story though but i bet climbing the bike up techy hills will be better .

I`ve tried them twice on short xc rides.i got on with them ok but found it really odd put extra power into the down stroke by trying to pull up with the the other foot on the up stroke.it played havoc with the old hamstrings. in a masochistic sort of way I fancy trying them on the downhill bike so I could try the double footed uplift over the jumps move
