Been thinking of getting a GPS DEVICE for mapping my rides as I can never remember were I have been and how to get back to the fav rides . most of the time I am following Irideabike or Motozulu and being shown new routes all the time but if ever fancy a lone ride I can never find the trails
any body had any experience with them any recommendations or advice

I use a Sunnto Ambit 2, it a triathlon watch, it's really fast at connecting to satellites (Unlike my previous Garmin Edge 200 Forerunner 305) it also does by the second tracking which is great for logging our rides, it's also fully ANT+ so can be connected to a heart rate strap, t doesn't do maps but that doesn't bother me. I chose a watch over a bar mount because I hate clutter on my bars.

I use a Garmin Forerunner 620 for logging my rides which gives me a GPS map when I get home. You can get a Garmin Edge 800/810 which you can load maps on before a ride I think.
I am pretty set on getting a Garmin Fenix 3 which should do it all

I have the Garmin 800 with Trail Maps and it is excellent. Download routes to it or make your own (I use ridewithgps.com) Gave me the confidence to head over the Peaks on my own and follow routes I would never have found on my own.
