Mainly because I needed to replace a busted tyre quickly (no time to wait for a delivery) and no local Maxxis stockist I had to take a bit of a gamble and went with what I could get from The Bike Place in Bellingham. Which is a Panaracer DriverPro 27.5 x 2.22" tubeless. It's a light tyre, the same as the Racing Ralph which I split, but with a small block pattern. First impressions from yesterday's Bowderdale loop is it's not too shabby. It got me easily through the gloopy bits, gripped well on rocky edges and only spun a little bit on wet grass (less than Ralph). And still a fast roller on smooth stuff. Happy so far. Yet to try it on wet roots, which the Ralph was complete pants at. Or fast loose descents which the Ralph was quite good at. Makes a weird crackling noise at all speeds on tarmac. You'll know I'm about to pass you on tarmac climbs..

I run xc pros on the hardtail and they impressive. The fire FR versions are a beefed up version and are huge, grip is awesome but they've got to be the most draggiest, heavy tyre in the world.
Not to bad for an electrical company lol
